Thompson- Neely House

The Thompson- Neely House, home of Robert & Hannah Thompson, became the headquarters of General Lord Stirling in December of 1776. Stirling was the commanding officer of the troops encamped along the Delaware. Their mission was to prevent the British from crossing the river. They stayed in the house for almost the entire month.
