Starting a New Game
When you first enter the program you must decide if you wish to play an internet game or a hot-seat game. An internet game requires a direct TCP/IP connection to the internet (this is what most people have, unless you are using an access-provider such as AOL, in which case you should find information on how to run internet applications through their service). A hot-seat game is simply played between two people at one computer. Sorry, there is no option to play the computer in the current version.
Hot-Seat Game
If you chose a hot-seat game the program will immediately request the names and affiliations of the players. After entering this data the first player may take his or her turn.
Internet Game
After selecting this option you will find yourself in a chat room of other players waiting for opponents. Find a worthy adversary and challenge them to a war! To ensure you will always find another human waiting for you in the chat room it might be a good idea to announce your desire to play in the message board area of this site. If you plan your game before hand you'll ensure that you'll have someone worthy of your strategic skills to play against.
