Pleasanton
Partnerships In education Foundation provided the Amador Valley High School Biology
Teachers with grant money needed to purchase nets used for collecting aquatic specimens
and test kits used for monitoring water quality.

At
the end of the 1996 school year I was awarded a Tri-Valley Community Fund Grant of
$4200. With this money I was able to purchase a complete multimedia work station,
software (spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, graphic manipulation), printer,
and a flex cam. These have enabled me to store and display the data collected by
students from the creek study site.

For the past four years I have been privileged to have
summer intern opportunities at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. I have been
very fortunate to have been mentored by Brian Lindow in the Education Department.
Brian has enabled us to develop the necessary technical expertise needed to construct
the Creek Watch Web Pages.
