The land of the Dirt Master was set up by Amador Valley High School to be a location for biology classes to see and do a lab about plant physiology, heredity, and gardening. Each year teacher Eric Thiel attempted to raise some plants to cross pollinate. However a to get a plant to grow quickly, you have to have the right condidtions, and teachers do not have a lot of time to play the role of a gardener. Seeing the value of this lab, Eric Thiel jumped at the chance to have one of his students take this project, that student being Ben Lassonde. Ben then began the process of raising little plants and testing different conditions. From this he wrote out a guide for raising Wissconsin Fast Plants.
