Site 12 is located directly beneath the railroad tressel. The width of the creek narrows significantly here. Large rip rock and river stones can be found on both the north and south banks. Rate of flow is rapid, depth is shallow, and the bottom is composed of large rocks. Significant agitation of the water as it tumbles over the large stones helps to create an area with a very high DO. Collecting aquatic organisms with the kick net is performed here but due to the very swift water and large boulder like rocks, the diversity of aquatic invertebrates is low.
