Site #7 Site seven is the widest area of the creek study site. A fallen eucalyptus tree has helped to establish this very wide a relatively deep pool. Bull rushes grow from the soil that still remains around the root ball of the fallen eucalyptus tree. Large amounts of debris often collects here and contributes to a low DO.The slow rate of flow tends to allow a great deal of sediment to settle in this area forming a muddy bottom. Black bass and schools of creek chub and minnows are not uncommon here. The path around site six and seven opens up into a large deposit of gravel offering students excellent access to the water.
