The width of the creek narrows significantly at site five. The narrower channel and gradual decline leads to a much faster rate of flow here than at sites 3 & 4. The creek bed is composed of primarily small river stones and large gravel. This site provides an ideal location for collecting aquatic organisms with the kick net. A large stand of bamboo exits on the south bank and a small eucalyptus tree is found on the north bank.
