The DH4 was an excellent British bomber. It carried a crew of four: one pilot and one gunner. It carried underwing-mounted bombs.

The German Unterseebootes, or U-boats, were exemplary marauders of merchant ships. They fired torpedoes that exploded on contact.

The tank was used to cross enemy lines and smash through barbed wire. Crews used several guns to fire at enemies.

The machine gun was an invention of World War I. Its rapid and continuous fire cut through advancing infantry troops.
