Mecca
Mecca is the holiest place of the Muslim religion and is the birthplace of the prophet Muhammad. There are five rules of an Islamic regulated life, this includes: 1.) Faith, a person would have to sacrifice to God; "I testify there is no God but God, and Muhammad is His Prophet." 2.) Prayer, Muslims are required to pray five times a day. 3.) Alms, Muhammad commanded that the Muslims give a portion of their money to help the needy. 4.) Fasting, for one month Muslims could eat nothing between sunrise and sunset, but after sunset they could eat all they wanted. 5.) Pilgrimage, if a Muslim could afford it were required to visit Mecca at least once in their lifetime. Of course that is not all to the Muslim religion there are many more rules of morality, customs, and laws. But know that Mecca is a very important part of the Muslim religion.
