So by coming to this part of our site that means that you are somewhat interested in the technology behind it. In this page we will cover all the planning involved in our site.
The Plans, Objectives, and Overview for "The World of KruSader"
Plans for this page
Our team proposes to accomplish this entry by perusing as many books, such as history, science, encyclopedias and magazines to select from them a list that we feel would be interesting to all who come in contact with our web page. Our next procedure is to continue our research in order to appropriately inform the reader about the site, whereby information concerning the site is attached. We plan to incorporate a map of the world where seekers can select a particular country to visit the unique natural wonders and/or architecture. Each article will include a picture, description, and timeline. The user can either select by country or topic. Also, by using our mascot, "KruSader", the selectee has an "easy-to guide" process on the web site.
Objectives
"The World of KruSader" is a web site that will meet the goals and objectives of Think Quest and the web site users educationally for all ages. As a reference use for all, it is to educate not only students, but the community, in an interesting aspect of the wonders this world has developed. We are dedicated to making the site a practical, interesting place to learn and also have a little fun while doing it.

The Resources
Our web site demanded a lot of resources. We mostly needed pictures. The maps were created from black and white outlines by Jonathan using Adobe PhotoShop 4 along with the graphics for the background in the Chat Room and the navigation bar. The image of KruSader was also created in PhotoShop also - modifying a scanned image of Andrew's head. The pictures in this site were mostly actual photographs of each topic. They were scanned and "enhanced" in PhotoShop also. Here's an example...

The research for out topics came from a variety of sources including the internet, encyclopedias, books and our History consultant, Cheryl Krestan. Any questions we had about HTML development were answered by our Computer Science consultant, Kevin O'Brien. Any questions regarding our video cards were kindly answered by computer expert and software author, John Hinkley.
Our Mascot, KruSader
KruSader is the result of hours of innovitative thinking. The orgional concept for this page "From Past to Present: A Look at the Development of World History" needed something to spice it up - make it more attractive. Our idea was "KruSader" (thanks Jennifer!), Andrew's face on a stick person. Here are some of the other ideas that were dropped: Timbuctwo, Tibelan, Avolokitesvara, Bodhisattua, Sarcophagus, Krater, Tazza, Pelike, Rift Man, Tiemannite, Captain Cosmo, Defective Dragnet, Professor Dubai, and JAJCA. KruSader's name came is a derivison of "The Catholic High Crusaders", our school team.
From
Andrew to...KruSader!

We figured that KruSader could be people's guide around the site, and he would be our mascot. Our second title "From Past to Present: Where in the World KruSader" was dropped when we relized that KruSader was going to be your guide - not the viever having to look for him. So then came our final title "The World of KruSader", where the viewer enters KruSader's World and he is the guide.
