Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower in Paris, France is a large iron tower. It was designed by French engineer Alexandre Gustave Eiffel for the Paris Worlds Fair in 1889.
The tower is 984 feet high and its four-legged base is 330 feet square. There are observation decks on three different levels. On the first level there is a restaurant. At the top of the tower are a meteorology station, a television station, and private rooms used by Alexandre Gustave Eiffel. Because of the design and beauty of the Eiffel Tower, it is one of the most popular sites in the world.
