Buckingham Palace
The Buckingham Palace is located in the city of Westminster, and holds the British sovereign.
Originally built in the early 18th Century, for the dukes of Buckingham, it was built in 1761 by George III for his wife, naming it the Queens House. John Nash in 1825 rebuilt it for George IV with the present garden and the recent redesigned mall. In 1913 the mall was redesigned as a background for the Queen Victoria Memorial Statue; Victoria had been the first sovereign to live there.
Today, the famous changing of the guards take place.
