Angel Falls
Angel Falls is located in southeastern Venezuela. It is famous for being the waterfall in the world with a drop of 3,212 feet. The waterfall drops from the mesa of Auyantepui, which is located in the highland area known as La Gran Sabana. The region in which Angel Falls is located is covered with mesas, tropical rain forests, and grasslands.
Angel Falls was discovered by James C. Angel in 1935, who was searching for gold in his plane. Today, tourists can view the falls in small planes.
