University of Virginia Response

Thank you for your interest in the University of Virginia.

We commend you on your early start in the college-search process, and we hope that you will contact us again between your junior and senior years of high school. At that time we will be happy to send you an application and a copy of our undergraduate Prospectus.

Meanwhile, the best way you can prepare is to take the most rigorous academic program your school offers through your senior year, and to keep your grades high. In particular, we encourage strong preparation in English, mathematics, science, social science, and foreign language.

Students at the University enjoy rich and satisfying experiences. They can pursue programs in architecture, engineering, nursing, commerce, and education, as well as in the liberal arts and sciences. They also can participate in more than 300 clubs and organizations--everything from equestrian teams and debating societies to theater groups and preprofessional organizations.

For a list of our publications, visit the University on the World Wide Web at the address: http://www.virginia.edu/. We wish you the very best in the coming years, and we thank you for considering the University of Virginia.
