Dear Sonia:

First of all, thanks so much for your interest in Tulane University. As well, I'd like to apologize for not getting this email to you sooner; my computer was attacked by a world of viruses, which made it virtually impossible for me to communicate with anyone via email. Anyway, in response to your email, campus life at Tulane is absolutely wonderful.

Students participate in a magnitude of activities, ranging from athletics to theatre. There are over 200+ organizations on our campus, so experiencing something new at Tulane is always available. Interested in Cajun dancing, a variety of club sports, cultural awareness events, honor clubs, social groups, concerts and guest speakers, and musicals?.....There're all here!

What sets Tulane apart from other institutions: our commitment to academic support; faculty/student relationships; remaining on the cutting edge in information technology; our focuses in International, Urban and Environmental issues; our city - New Orleans; the diversity on our campus, and so much more.

Any concerns on affirmative action, please call our Government Affairs Office at 504-865-5758. Someone there will be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. But what I will say, Tulane is positively committed to being fair and ethical.

We consider a great deal of information for admittance into Tulane:
60-65% Academic record: types of courses & content
20-25% SAT/ACT scores
10-15% Non-Academic factors: essay; recommendations; extracurriculars; type of HS

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please email me.
Or, call (800) 873-9283; one of my colleagues will be more than happy to help you.

Have a great school-year!

A.Austin
