Welcome to The Ultimate College Guide for the Average Honors Student

Welcome to The Ultimate College Guide for the Average Honor Student! At this site, you will see reviews of many top tier college web sites. For your convenience, we've also provided a complete college directory of the top 50 schools in the USA as rated by The US News and World Report®. This site was created with the intent to educate outgoing high school honor students with information pertaining to the web sites and communications from them of many top tier colleges and universities.

The first item of interest is the directory. Here we've listed the names, street addresses, web sites, and undergraduate admissions e-mail addresses of all the top tier schools we could find. You can be sure that if the school you're looking for isn't there, it either isn't top tier or it was impossible to find. Links to reviews of individual schools can be found in the directory. Each school is rated according to our own criteria, seen here. There you'll find even more information about each college. In some cases permission was granted to use the school's main front page logo.

The next thing that we did was to email each school's undergraduate admissions officer and asked him or her 4 standard questions. We then posted their responses here. Links to the responses of various schools can be found either on the introductory response page (where we explain more in depth what we did), or on the specific school's page.

Another point of interest is our student interviews. Here we asked more extensive questions to students from a select few colleges and universities. We figured that, since we actually knew these people, we were more likely to get honest responses.
