Hello, and welcome to The Lost Treasure of Treble Island!  Its purpose is to spark an interest in music theory for people who have a very limited, if any, understanding of music.  It can also act as a quick reference and game for people already familiar with the fundamentals of music.

This page has three basic components.  The first is instruction on basic principals of music theory.  The second part relates these principals to the guitar and piano for people who have a desire to begin teaching themselves to play an instrument.  The third part is a interactive pirate game that relates music theory to real-life applications.

The Lost Treasure of Treble Island is best viewed by Netscape 3.0.  If your browser supports frames (if you can see our scrolling message across the bottom of your screen, then it'll work), and you have a fairly fast connection, you probably would like to view our fully enhanced version.  However, a frameless version is also accessable from here.

There is no real trick to the page; if you don't understand where to go next, just click around.  Something is bound to happen sooner or later.  For example, the ship below will take you away to our fully enhanced version, the moon will enlighten you with our credits page, and the sea will allow you to surf some other music-related sites.  To leave any comments, questions, or complaints, visit the credits page.  We DO want to hear from YOU!!!

This web page was designed in accordance to the rules and regulations of the international ThinkQuest web page competition.

Thank you for the visit!
