I agree about computers, but I experienced to challenge kids with easy problems like mate in one. And they can beat a computer solving them. I think is a hard question if a teacher let them to beat his teacher. I experienced with my son to be unaware and he checkmated me with a good maneuver. And I needed to show clearly that I was distracted. Nevertheless he was fascinated. There are many ways and strategies to postpone
the time when a pupil feel good beating his teacher.
