I am a Senior Master and full time professional chess trainer at the "Chess For Juniors" Center in Huntington Beach, CA.
When working with students who have low school grades most of them show improvement after several months in the club.
I not only work with many national champions but also with students who have learning disabilities. Chess is also a very useful tool for helping improve logic, concentration and abstract thinking for the learning disababled.
It provided a challenge for gifted and talented students.
