If I could be any chess piece on the entire chess
board, I think I would be the pawn. The other pieces
are all scared to get into the real battles. But, the
pawn is never afraid! (at least not me if I were a
pawn). The pawn rushes into the glory of the chess
battle, sometimes subtley seeking control of key squares;
sometimes a blockade; sometimes an insane warrior ready
to die for the motherland! Or, perhaps some day even
become the Queen Mother herself. I think this might
raise another question-- why not just start off as a
queen? I think it is better to be a queen having been
a pawn, and knowing what it's like being the little guy,
than to just start off as powerful as a queen, living
your whole life in fear.
