Chess is a game, but unlike any other games that we play, chess is the most comprehensive of them all. It involves a physical aspect: Chessplayers have to be extremely strong physically inorder to withstand all the stress associated with the game. Secondly, chess requires understanding and thinking: chessplayers have to use their brains to think whether they like it or not. Third chess is an art: There are many things that can still be discovered in chess, new ideas new theories.
It is true chess is just a game, but it is a game that helps people in their lives, their relationships, and their future's. Chess is truly a universal game and whether it is a sport or not makes very little difference. Chess is a game of life, war, and peace and it will always be like that.
