This website was written and published by three high school students so that everyone can have a better understanding of trumpet and just maybe play a little better, or start playing. It was entered in the 1997 ThinkQuest competition, where the results are still pending. This site was intended for everyone to use, so that learning and understanding of trumpets can spread, so feel free to print up any part or all of it for academic or personal uses.
Chris Glazner graduated in May, 1997 from North Shore High School (Houston, TX) Magna Laude. He has played the trumpet for seven years, and has been named to the All-Region Band all four years in high school. He was a section leader of the North Shore trumpet section for three years.
In addition to playing the greatest instrument known to humanity, Chris also enjoys dancing at pow wows as a Northen Traditional Dancer. He led the development of the website Southern Pow Wows, which he actively maintains as the webmaster. He will be attending the University of Texas in the fall, double majoring in Plan II Honors (Liberal Arts) and Electrical Engineering.

John Timpani is a senior at North Shore High School in Houston, TX. John has played the greatest instrument known to humanity for over six years, and has been named to the All Region Band three times and the All Area Band two times so far. He has been a section leader since he was a sophomore. John is an honors student and a fine trumpet player. This is his first work ont he Internet.
John, who is sometimes affectionately called "Kramer" due to his uncanny resemblance and impersonations of the Seinfield star, is also an active member of his church and likes to shoot a few hoops when he's not practicing. He plans to major in music, and hopes to attend the Shepard School of Music at Rice University next fall.
