About the authors & their school

The Chemistry Consortium is designed by Jason Kwan, Thomas Cheng, and Harry Kim. We all go the same school - Henry M. Gunn Senior High School. However, Harry's family had moved back to Korea in March, and that increased the difficultly in making this web site. Luckily, we could still maintain the coordination through the advanced telecommunications available nowadays.

Jason Kwan

Jason Kwan went to Palo Alto, California, in Aug 96. Before that he was studying in Hong Kong for the past 13 years. In fact, he got his first computer in August 96. After half a year of work, his web site - Sammi's X Space - located at http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/8892 had been selected as a featured web site at Geocities, which was one of the main driving force in entering ThinkQuest 97.

Thomas Cheng

Thomas Cheng was born in Taiwan, and has one younger brother. He has been studying in Houston for 1 year before moving to California. He's hooked on computers, and is planning to join the school computer team with Jason Kwan together next year.

Harry Kim

Harry Kim is a native Korean that went to the United States. He's a specialist in VRML 3D designing. However, this site has no VRML pages because we concerned about the speed to load large VRML files over standard 28.8 Kbps modems over the congested internet nowadays. He would continue his high school life in Washington D.C. next year with his cousins.

About the project : ThinkQuest 97

We've first about this project from our coach Clarence Bakken in the third quarter of 1996. Since that we've began to develop our ideas of the web site. ThinkQuest 97, as stated in their homepage, is a competition for students between 12 and 18 to create great educational sites to promote online learning. The contest is sponsered by Advanced Technologies, a big company that's in charge of several internet backbones. The server space is also provided by Advanced Technologies. We could like to thank Advanced Technologies and ThinkQuest for giving us this opportunity of creating such an educational web site.
