You might think there's nothing surprising about tuna, but the hidden crunch in this creamy combination comes from the layer of sprouts tucked between the cheese and the fish. |
1 can (6 1/2 ounces) tuna 3 tablespoons mayonnaise 3 slices whole-wheat bread 1/2 cup alfalfa sprouts 3 slices Munster cheese Makes: 3 sandwiches |

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. 2. Open the can of tuna with the can opener. Place the strainer in the sink and empty the can into the strainer to let the tuna drain. If the tuna was packed in oil, rinse it very quickly under cold running water and let it drain. |
| 3. Place the tuna in the mixing bowl and add the mayonnaise. Mix the tuna and mayonnaise together, breaking up the lumps of fish with the wooden spoon. | ![]() |

4. Place the slices of bread on the cookie sheet. Spread the tuna evenly over the bread. Sprinkle the sprouts over the tuna and then top each sandwich with a slice of the cheese, so that it covers the whole sandwich. |
5. Put on the oven mitts and place the cookie sheet in the oven, Bake for 10 minutess abd then look to see if the cheese is bubbly and has melted. If the cheese is bubbly and has melted. If it hasn't, bake for another 2 minutes. When the sandwiches are ready, put the oven nitts on and place the cookie sheet on a heat proof surface. Lift each sandwich with the spatula and place it on a plate.
