ESME in Germany
Most of the ESME-infections are registered in Bavaria and Baden-Würthemberg. During the last couple of years diseases have been observed in Hessen, Rhineland-Palatinat, Sachsen-Anhalt, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Thüringen, Saarland and Sachsen the last years.There were even reports about lethal cases.
