Characteristics
1. Larva:
The size of the larva ranges from 0,6mm to 1,25mm (before and after blood sucking). It has got six legs. The back is colored brown and the soft parts of its body are colored grey-yellow.
2. Nymph:
The size of the nymph ranges from 1,2mm to 2mm ( before and after blood sucking). It has got eight legs. The back is colored brown and the soft parts of its body grey-yellow.
3. Adult:
The adult tick is oval and has got eight legs. Its size
ranges from 2,4mm-4,8mm to 12mm
( before and after blood sucking). The back is colored black-brown and
the soft parts of its body are colored yellow-grey and brown. The shield
of the male tick covers the whole back, whereas the females shield covers
only a part of the back.
