Interview with a gardener, who was infected with Lyme-disease

When were you bitten by a tick?
This has been in summer two years ago. I live next to the wood and have lots of pets. Having a shower in the evening I saw, that a tick had bitten me next to my navel. I removed it by ticktongs.
When did the first Lyme-disease symptoms appear?
At first I did not have any symptoms. 1 ½ year later I felt stabs in my knee. I was not astonish about that, because this often happens in my job (I am a gardener). But the next day my knee was swollen. So I went to the doctor and showed it to him..
When did they find out, that you had Lyme-disease?
At first they did not. The doctors thought I had arthritis and I was operated four times in hospital.It was not until then, that the doctor found out by a bloodtest that I had Lyme-disease.
