Introduction
Hello, this section is called Game Play (but then
again, you can read!). This section is
essentially a "How To Play Golf
Section!" It's intention is to all the users
to learn about golf and some of the techniques
that are used to play golf. There are discussions
about clubs, technique, balls, emotions ...
everything you need to play the game of golf! If you
would like to know more about this section, check
out our introducation page.
Exercising & Golf
For those of you, who enjoy playing golf, this
section is a must read! Did you you know that
golf was a strenuous sport? Well, we didn't until
we read a National Institute of Occupational
Safety and Health (NIOSH)report discussing the
force that the lower spine goes under when you
swing a golf club. Did you know that a golf swing
puts so much force on the lower spine, that if
you were working under those conditions, you
could be classified in a job that was dangerous
to your health? Well, if you didn't check out our
page on why exercising is so important to golf --
Good Fitness!
After reading the Good Fitness page, we feel
that you will WANT to exercise and get in better
physics condition before you go out and play your
next round of golf, so we compiled a list of good
exercise that would help in keeping yourself
physically fit. We broke them them donw into two
groups:
But like all exercises, make sure you consult
a physician before you start any of these
exercises. Also, these exercises will not compose
a complete exercise routine ... they are only
suggestions.
Technique
In the technique, we give a brief How To on
different golf shots. We try to go into detail on
how to swing the club, how to set up for the
shot, and many more things! Below is a list of
all the topics that we cover in this section:
Construct Of Clubs
Have you ever wondered why there are so many
different types of golf clubs? How many different
types of grips could there be? What is the
different between the old golf clubs that I have
and the new perimeter weighted clubs? Well, if
you ever wondered why about anything, we tryed to
answer many of those questions in this section.
We discuss what different types of irons there
are and what different types of grips exist.
Below is a list of the topics that we cover:
Miscellaneous Stuff
There is still so much more to golf, we can't
cover it all, so we put together a few more
miscellaneous topics of interest. First, we put
together a page on Golf
Ettiquette. Then we figured that as new
golfers, you may want to know a little about Handicaps. Next, we
figured that you should know many of the
"unwritten rules of golf." These rules
are how to play a game of golf so that you aren't
the slowest group on the course creating a line 8
holes long! So we published the rules of Quick Golf! The only
other neat resource that we have is our Glossary, for those of
you who are baffled by some of the golf language
used!
Teacher's

This section is for teachers. The Golf Course
Team designed this site so that it could be used
in the classroom environment. We worked closely
with our coaches to design suggested uses for
this site in the classroom. Please stop in and
