Well, this is the space that I am supposed to talk about myself. I really don't have much to say about myself. I have written so many applications for college and applications for scholarships, that I don't really interest myself, but for your sake, I am an 18 year old guy who enjoys designing web sites. I actively get involved in my church, and am an Eagle Scout. Beyond that, I enjoy music.
My music tastes are wide and varied. I can listed to almost anything, EXCEPT opera and rap. I believe that everyone should own atleast 2 cd's in their collection. They are, Billy Joel's Greatest Hits (2 cd set) and the Forrest Gump Soundtrack (2 cd set.) There are songs on each of these cd's which will be around forever.
I don't really have too many definitve plans for the future, but I am a senior in high school and I know that I will be in attendance at Bucknell in the Fall of 1997. My major will be engineering, but which field I still do not know. The nice thing about engineering is that the first 2 years of school is the same for all engineers, so the decision for specialization doesn't have to be made until my junior year. Although, I really don't know what specific type of engineering I will wind up in, I can venture a guess toward electrical engineering (altough my guess seems to change almost by the week!)
When setting up and picking our Thinkquest 1997 team, each person was chosen to fill a certain role. I was chosen for a few reasons. The first of which was that I was a Thinkquest finalist in the 1996 competition. Secondly, I am a very motivated person, but even those reasons aren't the most important ones.
A side from being motived, I am a very organized person. (Almost too organized!) So my major role in the team is to keep the group focused and moving in a forward direction. Also, I enjoy doing a little bit of everything. I enjoy designing graphics, building html pages, researching, and occasionally cgi programming. I can handle each and every one of these areas with relative ease, so along with my role as leader, my job is to bounce around between Anthony, Eugene, and the coaches to make ends meet and pages to work together.
I have found myself to be one of the main graphics designers for the group. Because of my Level I College Physics background (AP Physics), I wrote the physics textbook and designed the labs and problems that supplemented it. As I say, I get my hands wet in every aspect of the site that I can, and I try to keep the team's work interlinked and connected.
My role in the team is as important as eveyone else's. No one person can do it alone. We are a team, and I am just one piece of the team. You can't spell team with out The Coaches, Eugene, Anthony, and Me. (Corny, yes! But true!)
I thoroughly enjoy receiving e-mail. I enjoy meeting and talking to new people, so please be sure to e-mail me with any questions, comments, and suggestions for the Golf Course Site. (For your convenience, all the bars are e-mail icons!) Also, if you need or want any information on Bucknell University, please contact me and I will try to help you in any way that I can.
