I am working with others researching sources for 18th century golf clubs & balls and how they were made. We have some information on shipments of clubs & balls being shipped to various masonic lodges in Virginia in 1751. Do you have any information on what companies in Glasgow, etc. that were making golf clubs & balls? And is there available today plans and or specifications on how to reproduce the same, including the type of wood or woods used? Any leads or help would be greatly appreciated for this research project.

Sincerely;
Cynthia C. Gunther
