Ireland
Ireland is a large island within the British Isles located in Western Europe. The country is divided into Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, which comprises about five sixths of the island.
The capital city of the Irish Republic is Dublin. About 95% of its people are Roman Catholic. Almost everyone speaks English. The population of the Irish Republic is 3,539,000.
