Netscape Communicator Mailer

NOTE: Netscape Communicator might not be set up work with your Service Provider's mail system. Contact your Customer service representative for more information.

To get to the Netscape Communicator window, click on the mailbox icon on the bottom-right hand side of your navigator window. It should look like the picture on the left. If you have new mail, a green arrow will appear as pictured. Clicking on it will take you to the Mailer window below.

This is the mailer window. It is where you will do most of your e-mail managing. It is separated into 4 parts from top to bottom: The Toolbar, the folders bar, the message center, and the message body. The Folders bar has a drop-down list on it that has all of your folders where you can store messages. (or you can be like me and let them pile up in your inbox)

The Message Center section has the various things in it like the subject of the message, the sender and the date the message was sent. The Green diamond indicates if the message is still unread, and the orange flag is for you to mark off important messages.

Clicking on a message will display it in the bottom portion of the window. You can delete selected messages by pressing the delete button on the toolbar, or pressing the 'Delete' button on your keyboard. You can file a message away to read later by clicking AND HOLDING on the File button on the toolbar. Then pick the name of the folder you wish the message to be stored in.
