Certificate programs are usually shorter in duration than normal degree programs. These programs can be applied towards degree programs and usually concentrate on applied skills. Certificate programs consist mainly of lower level courses although it is allowable to take some higher level studies. These programs are usually sixty to ninety percent of a normal baccalaureate course load.
Diplomas are awarded to students who complete courses equal to one half of a normal Bachelor’s degree program. These programs can be applied towards degree programs. Diploma programs consist of a mix of lower and higher level courses. These programs use the same courses as a normal baccalaureate course would.
