Most American colleges and universities require that you write the SATs (Standardized Admissions Test) prior to submitting your application. The SAT tests
consist of two main components: The SAT I, which is a test of verbal and mathematics skills, and the SAT II, which tests specific subjects. The school's calendar
will be able to tell you which tests you must take prior to admission. The SATs are written many times during the year in locations throughout the world. Your
school's counselling or career center will have more information about dates and locations of the tests. You can find out more about the SATs from The College Board, the organization that administers the tests.
