Your body, and everyone elses is composed of systems. These systems work together to support you, hold you up, make you move, let you eat, make you breath, among many other functions. The purpose of this tour is to give you an overview of the body systems. If you are interested in learning more about a specific system, click on the title, and you will be linked to a more detailed explanation of the body system. So lets start with your nervous system , the control center of your body.

Nervous System
Your nervous system controls your whole body. Its main functions are to recieve and translate impulses, and to send messages based on thoughts to other parts of your body. It is composed of the centeral nervous system and the peripheral nervous system.

The central nervous system is your brain and spinal cord. Theses are where all your thoughts take place. Your spinal cord is a lot of nerves that run through your backbone and connect to nerves that go to different places around your body.

Your peripheral nervous system contains nerves that sense conditions such as heat, hardness, and roughness. These nerves connect through motor nerves to your spinal cord and brain.
