Techniques to Resist Tobacco

There are many ways to avoid smoking, and after seeing the facts about smoking, if I was you I wouldn't even bother starting. Here are some hints for you to avoid starting:

• Don't hang around people that smoke. Plain and simple. If a friend of yours smokes, you might be pressured into smoking as well and that is not a good thing.

• Budget your money. You set a limit on how much you will spend, or write what your money is for, and not use it for other things. If you are on a tight budget, how will you afford those high priced cigarettes? Soon it will get too expensive.

• Avoid places where there are people that smoke. Sit in the non-smoking sections of restaurants. Second-hand smoke is just as bad for you, and it is not to be taken lightly.

• Have a trustworthy friend. If you are in a relationship, make sure you tell them to help you out. Make sure they will be there for you, and that they strict to their promise. Remember who wants to be close to someone with bad, smokey breath?

• Do your own research. Go to the library, and look up the facts. This will surely sicken you when you find out how many carcinogens are in cigarettes. As it is said "Knowledge is the Key".

Good Luck! And if you want more encouragement, pledge to remain smoke-free on this site!
