Computers in Koinae

Computers are very important on Koinae. They help the technicians regulate the atmosphere, they can help to calculate the amount of food that the Agricultural Sphere needs to grow, and serve as the tools for communicating with Earth. All of the computers on Mars are networked with the the Martian Computing Hub, creating a small Martian Internet.

The Martian Internet is very similar to the Earth's Internet. It serves as a tool for learning, information retrieval, and data storage. One of the main things that this system stores is information obtained from the Carl Sagan Memorial Station. The computing hub is currently connected to over 60 computers, including both personal computers and the computers used by the colony's technicians. It also periodically links up with computers on Earth in order to share important information.
