The Pearling history of Broome has also filtered through to the world of fashion with many designs created based on a pearling theme. The garment below was designed, constructed and modelled by Tabita Hunter, while she was a student at St Mary's College in Broome Western Australia. The design was based on the Mother of Pearl shell and won her an award at the fashion parade.
