This simulation simulates current flow in a circuit which consists of a battery, a resistor, a light bulb (another resistor), and a switch (which opens and closes the circuit). Ingoring the resistance in the wires, the potential difference produced by the battery should be canceled out by the potential difference of the resistor, and the potential difference of the light bulb. The potential difference of the resistors could be calculated using Ohm's Law, I = V / R, or, V = IR.
Using these data, the current of the circuit could be calculated. Once the current is known, the power dissipated could also be calculated according to the equation of P = I2R.
