Fun With DOS

After IBM indroduced the first line of personal computers, they came with an operating system called DOS. DOS stands for Disk Operating System. At first, DOS was usually loaded from a floppy disk or from a ROM (Read Only Memory), but when the internal hard disk drive became common in most personal computers, DOS no longer had to be loaded from a floppy disk or a ROM chip. DOS quickly became a very popular operating system. Today, however, DOS is very close to becoming a complete thing of the past.
