Close encounters of the third kind

Henry Thomas, a young son of a policeman, went to bed early. Since he wanted to play with his friends, he snuck out of his house to play with them. They started a game of hide and seek in between the yards. Seeing a back gate open, Henry went into the yard trying to find one of his friends.

In the yard there were three people looking into the back window of the house. The men were dressed in strange suits that seemed to be made of silver-gray tubes of rubber with dark boots. On their heads were transparent dome-like helmets. Tubes came from these and joined tanks that were on their backs. The men turned to face the boy. They had pale heads shaped like lightbulbs, dark, slit-like eyes, scarcely any nose and no known mouth. Henry had the impression that they were wise but frightening. One made a strange noise, and all three began to move toward the boy. The boy ran in terror.

There was no UFO reported in this sighting. But there is reason to believe the boy for he went straight home to tell his parents what he had seen. The beings that he had seen were known as the tree wise men in his family.
