Union County College in New Jersey is offering an online course for K-12 teachers on Intergenerational Issues, and Teaching about Aging. The course begins September 5, 2001, and counts as 3 undergraduate credits, and/or 45 continuing education hours. Participants will learn aging, discover available materials and model programs, and have an opportunity to plan and carry out an intergenerational program with their students (with the students doing service learning, or with older adults as volunteers, or with both groups volunteering to help the community).
