This page was created to help you, as the user, to navigate in our Virtual Museum without any problems. The instructions are simple and quick and hopefully you'll be on your way and roaming around cyberspace in no time :)
Moveing Around:
Method 1:
Moving around in our site is much the same as moving around in any first person perspective game (such
as Doom or Wolfenstien) The first thing to always remember no matter how you do it though is to always wait until the room is finished loading (images and all) before you attempt to walk around, once this is done click in on the 3d space window with your mouse then follow our easy instructions. The easiest way is to use the arrow keys on your keyboard as directional tools.
Method 2:
Another and more complicated method of moving around is to use your mouse as if the world was scene from its eyes. This means that if you move the mouse forward you will move forward in the world. To do this you must press down on the LEFT mouse key while moving the mouse in the direction you wish to go.
Wichever method you choose the results are similar. As you move forward so does the screen in the Virtual world and as you turn right so does the screen etc.
Entering Doors and Buildings
To enter a door or a building in the Virtual Museum, simply use your mouse to place your cursor over the door or building you wish to enter and when a site URL appears click the LEFT mouse button. This will transport you into that room or building.
Viewing objects is the same as opening doors. When you see a picture you would like to get a closer look at simply click on it and you will be sent to a site describing this image in more depth and showing a larger version of it (in some cases)
When in the world you come across a Virtual inhabitant of our museum you may wish to talk to this person to gain more understanding of the room or of a particular aspect of dolphins this person may know about. To do this simply move your cursor over the image of the person and click your LEFT mouse key and you can further your conversation with this person. (This is essential to learning as much as possible about the rooms and creatures featured within)
