Advent Calendar

"Advent" is the 24 days before Christmas when people prepare for Christ's birth. Each day is represented with the opening of a small door or window on a calendar. These are often made in Germany.
In Australia we make them by drawing out a large picture of a Christmas tree or a nativity scene and then drawing 25 tiny doors on it. These are then cut out so you have 25 "little doors". Behind each "door" we paste either a tiny lolly/candy or a picture. We write a number on each door and each day before Christmas we open one door - and eat the lolly/candy!
We have made an Advent Calendar on the computer for you to enjoy before Christmas this year.
