The Education Curriculum In Indonesia
The Curiculum in Indonesia
The real problem of those main obstacles is concerned on curriculum. The trouble is, the education curriculum in Indonesia is recently changing in a short period of time without giving any meaningful result. The opinion from the citizens about the new curriculum, which is said will be better and will have more capability, is just a temporary stimulation that does not give any solution.

KTSP
Now let us take a look at the reality. The educational system in Indonesia is using Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan curriculum, which used the Kurikulum Berbasis Kompetensi (KBK) before. In KTSP curriculum, a school is allowed to decide and create its own curriculum. In this curriculum, the centralization from the government is deleted. The similarity in both curriculums is the students are pushed to be active in the studying process. The students will be free to develop and widen their knowledge without ignoring the teacher’s role as the mentor.
The Impact
However, the negative impact from the changing curriculum found one weakness that cannot be prevented from all that changing process. They are the lack of teachers, the student’s protest against the new curriculum system and not globalized new curriculum which is socialized into each inhabitant part. So, finally all people who are involved on the educational world face the unclear changing of curriculum, and finally cannot take the essence and goal of that curriculum.
