Bandung city also always became a host of the conference of Asia Africa. In 1955, the Asia Africa Confrence was held in Bandung, paving the way for the creation of the Non-Aligned Movement in 1961 The Indonesian parliament was held in Bandung from 1955 to 1966, but was moved back to Jakarta in 1966 but came back to Bandung in 2006, many leaders of Asia and Africa came to Bandung for this Confrence.
Many Tourisme place in Bandung like the landmark of Bandung city is the Satay House or in Indonesian is Gedung Sate, Satay House is a office of West Java Governor its built by the Dutch architect J. Gerber. The building is built in 1921, it was used as the Dutch Indies Government Companies. The roof has a decoration of popular Indonesian food, satay food as now it is famous for the name, though it was not ment to be like that . In fact, the six satay on the roof it means 6 million guldens the cost of the building. The satay house is built with many European and Asian style like the Spanish style, Italian style, Balinese style, and Thai style. The building faces directly to Mt. Tangkuban Parahu. We can enjoy the view of the Bandung city from the top floor.

The Merdeka House is a buiding in Asia Africa road near downtown of Bandung city the architect was Van Gallen and C.P.W Schoemaker. The buiding was built in 1895 for a club house for rich people, named the Concordia Society. In 1955, the building was famous as the Asian-African conference venue . Now it is a museum for that conference.
Near the Merdeka House you can rest in a historical hotel in Bandung, the Savoy Homann Hotel is a hotel in the downtown of Bandung city.It wasbuilt by A.F. Aabers with an art deco style as it seen today. It stil a hotel until now. Many famous people stay and enjoy the hotel like the prince and the queen of Belgium, The Duchess of Westminster, The Governor of Indo-China, and even Charles Chaplin had stayed there three times.
