What Should We Do?

Planning to Take Action

“Meow”
As I was sitting in the garden, the cat came by and rubbed itself against my leg. I glared at it with envy. What does it want now?
I sat on the ground allowing it to jump onto my lap. Instinctively, I stroke its fur. As I did that, I felt my love towards animals grow. This is it, this must be it. The only way to make humans and animals live in harmony.
As I kept on stroking the cat, my wife was suddenly beside me.
“What are you doing here?” she asked
I shrugged, “I was just wondering about something.”
I told her my opinion about my dream, what it really had meant. I told her my ideas of helping to save endangered animals.
She smiled at me as I kept on pouring out my ideas. “I was thinking of establishing an organization. Or maybe, I can run a campaign!” I shouted excitedly, feeling like a five year old.
“That is a good effort you are putting on and I support you,” she put her hand on mine.
I looked at her questionably,“How am I supposed to start?”
We started planning our actions step by step. Starting from scratch, we decided to do a lot of activities with the society aging from pre-school to the old citizens. We wrote a few letters to be sent to the News Straits Time and The Star voicing out our concern.
