The Dream

Realising Wrong and Right
Suddenly, I was awakened by the sounds of stream water. Opening my eyes, I realized that I was no longer in the jeep. Instead, tall, green trees surrounded me. I was dumbfounded-where am I?
The sounds of soft purrs attracted my attention. There was a very big tiger – the mother, I assume – and her cubs. Two cubs were running around their mother and one was snuggly cuddled beside its mother.
BANG!! BANG!!
Two shots came from nowhere, all of sudden. Blood was spurting out of the mother tiger’s head as she fell and died to the ground before she could even make a move.
The little cubs started wailing their lungs out, gathering around their dead mother. I searched around to find out who was the one who shot that tiger hoping to find the other poachers as the trees and stream disappeared slowly. I panicked.
“Azman!”
I stirred as someone called my name. my body shook.
“Azman, wake up. Wake up! We’re here.”
I opened my eyes to see that I was still in the jeep with the others. Was that just a dream? I looked around. We were in another part of the jungle.
