How do you get AIDS?

AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) comes from the HIV virus (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) which is a virus that decreases the amount of your T-cells which help defend diseases.

You can get the HIV virus from:
blood
semen
vaginal fluid
preseminal fluid
breast milk
blood transfusions
contaminated needles
unprotected sex

How do you avoid AIDS?

Some ways you can avoid getting HIV/AIDS are:
~using condoms
~Don't share needles with anyone
~abstinence
~Know the person had been tested and does not have the HIV virus
