WHAT IS YOGA?

The science which will combine an individual self with the supreme self is called YOGA SASTRA. The word yoga is derived from two Sanskrit roots; one is yuja and second is yugir.
Man is tiny biological animal in this vast universe. However much he may try, he cannot escape the consequences of the mighty forces of nature. But he is gifted not only with the power of consciousness like other biological creations but also intelligence and will. He is better provided than other creatures with the ability not only to vary but even to challenge the vary process of nature.
This can be done by a systematic training called YOGA.
To attain Samadhi there are different ways. They are called different systems of yoga namely- Hatha yoga
Raja yoga
Bhakthi yoga
Gnana yoga
Karma yoga
Yoga consists in the perfection and control of both the body and the mind and as a process leads Man from the ignoble to noble.

AQUATIC EXERCISE

Aquatic exercise is a low-impact activity that takes the pressure off your bones, joints and muscles. Water offers natural resistance, which helps strengthen your muscles. You can even do aquatic exercise if you don't know how to swim.

You might start with water walking. In water that's about waist-high, walk across the pool swinging your arms like you do when walking on land. Avoid walking on your tiptoes, and keep your back straight. Tighten your abdominal muscles to avoid leaning too far forward or to the side.

To increase resistance as your hands and arms move through the water, wear hand webs. Water shoes can help you maintain traction on the bottom of the pool.
